Smaller rosters
Competitive rosters are intentionally kept to approximately 8–9 players whenever possible. More meaningful repetitions, more coaching, more accountability, more chances to contribute and make decisions. Minutes are still earned.

Triumph builds basketball players — through intentional coaching, real skill work, basketball IQ, and competition that actually teaches something. Training, development teams, and competitive AAU basketball under one roof.

Players where it startedWhat is Triumph
Triumph wasn't built to assemble teams. It was built to develop players — then put them in environments where that development gets tested.
Every session has a point. Reps are meaningful, not filler. Players learn why a read works, not just where to stand. And rosters stay small enough that coaches can actually coach.
We teach players how to play — not just plays.
How Triumph startedThe Triumph difference
01
Competitive rosters are intentionally kept to approximately 8–9 players whenever possible. More meaningful repetitions, more coaching, more accountability, more chances to contribute and make decisions. Minutes are still earned.
02
Sessions are planned around what a player actually needs next — not whatever drill fills the hour. Progress is tracked by coaches who know the player, not by the scoreboard alone.
03
Spacing, reads, timing, defensive habits, communication. The parts of the game that keep paying off long after a young player's athletic head start wears off.
04
Players should compete, and standards should be real. We choose environments where a team is challenged and a player's development is visible — at the level that's right for them now.
Find your path
Most players start with training. Where they go next depends on readiness, not on who signed up first.
Train
Weekly skills training and Sunday development training. Ball handling, footwork, finishing, shooting, decision-making — built to transfer into games.
Compete
Development teams for players learning to compete, and established AAU / travel teams for players ready for a higher level.
Feeder
The developmental feeder program for players inside the Niles West district who will attend Niles West High School. Powered by Triumph Hoops Academy.
How new families get started
You don't need to know where your player fits before you reach out. That's the part we help with.
Step 01
Tell us about your player — age, experience, and what you're hoping they get out of basketball.
Step 02
A Triumph coach reviews the information and reaches out to talk it through with your family.
Step 03
Your player gets into an appropriate environment so coaches can see their current ability, experience and needs.
Step 04
Training, developmental basketball, a competitive team opportunity — or continued development until the right opportunity opens.
Get started
Tell us a little about them. We'll help identify the right next step — whether that's training, a development team, or something else entirely.
